My name is Tanner Harris, and I proudly serve as the Head Golf Professional at Vasari Country Club, where I have been part of the team since 2016. I oversee all aspects of our golf operation—from daily management to event execution and member engagement—ensuring an exceptional experience for our members and guests every time they step onto the course.
Originally from the small town of Watseka, Illinois, I grew up playing a variety of sports and didn’t discover golf until I was 18. That late introduction to the game gave me a unique perspective and a deep appreciation for the sport, along with valuable insight into the business side of the golf industry.
I specialize in golf operations, event management, and customer service, with a strong focus on creativity and clear communication. Whether I’m organizing a high-level tournament or enhancing the retail experience in our golf shop, I enjoy finding unique and engaging ways to elevate the member experience. I am proud to lead a team that is cohesive, motivated, and dedicated to delivering outstanding service every day.
I’m honored that our Golf Shop has been recognized as an AGM Platinum Award Winner for Top 100 Golf Shops in 2022, 2023, and 2025, and as a “Best of the Best” Top 10 Golf Shop in both 2022 and 2023. I was also featured in the February 2024 issue of PGA Magazine for Golf Shop Excellence, which was a meaningful milestone in my career.
I am a Class A Member of the PGA of America, elected in October 2022, and have been a TPI Level 1 Certified Instructor since 2018. These credentials reflect my commitment to staying current and continually improving as a golf professional.
When I’m not at the club, I enjoy spending time with my chocolate lab, Bunker, at the dog park or relaxing at the beach. I’m also passionate about live music and supporting local events. Vasari has always felt like home to me—the sense of community among our members and staff, and the culture we’ve built together, are why I look forward to growing my career here for many years to come.
